Crystal Cave Dwarven Forge Interior

Interior of an enormous underground dwarven forge built within a natural crystal cave, the ceiling soaring a hundred feet overhead studded with massive natural quartz crystal formations in clusters ranging from pale amethyst purple to smoky gray to clear crystal, each catching and refracting the forge light creating prismatic rainbow reflections scattered across the cave walls. The forge itself is a masterwork of fantasy metallurgy: a central anvil of black meteoric iron on a raised stone platform, surrounded by multiple smelting furnaces built into the cave walls with channels of molten metal — gold, silver, and glowing blue mithril — flowing through carved stone troughs to different workstations. Enormous bellows operated by mechanical gear systems driven by an underground river waterwheel provide air to the hottest furnace, which glows white-hot and casts intense warm light across the immediate area. Dwarven craftsmanship is evident in every surface: intricately carved stone columns with geometric knotwork patterns, brass and copper fittings with patina showing age, tool racks holding hundreds of specialized hammers and tongs organized by size, and display cases showing completed works — ornate armor pieces, jeweled weapons, and delicate mechanical devices. The lighting creates dramatic interplay between the warm orange-red forge glow dominating the lower half of the scene and the cool prismatic crystal reflections in the upper reaches of the cave, with the transition zone creating a beautiful gradient. Thick smoke and sparks rise from the active forge, the sparks creating trails of light that illuminate the crystal formations above.
