Prompt Chaining

Prompt chaining is a strategy where you break a complex task into a sequence of simpler prompts, feeding the output of one step as input to the next. Each link in the chain handles one focused subtask, resulting in higher-quality outputs than attempting the entire task in a single prompt.

Example

To create a blog post: Step 1 — "Generate 5 outline ideas for an article about remote work." Step 2 — "Expand outline #3 into a detailed section-by-section plan." Step 3 — "Write the introduction based on this plan." Each step builds on the previous output.
