ChatGPT pet photo prompts are instructions you attach to an uploaded photo of your dog or cat that tell ChatGPT Images 2.6 what to change and what to keep. Pets drift in edits the way faces do: a white blaze moves, a sock disappears, folded ears come back upright, and the collar tag vanishes. The fix is a keep list that names your pet's actual markings, and the 30 prompts below are built around it.
What Makes ChatGPT Pet Photo Prompts Work
A pet edit has the same weakness as a portrait edit, with one extra hazard. Without a selection, ChatGPT Images 2.6 regenerates the whole frame from your photo plus the instruction, and a prompt that says "my dog" leaves the model free to draw a textbook version of the breed. Mixed coats get tidied, and the dog on the screen is a cousin of yours.
Name the markings, because the breed name is a category. "Keep my cat the same" is too loose to hold. "Keep the white blaze down the nose, the black sock on the right front paw, the notch in the left ear, the amber eyes, and the red collar with the round brass tag" gives the model a checklist. Every prompt below carries one: coat pattern, markings, eye color, ear shape, tail, collar and tag.
Protect the eyes separately. Eye color drifts toward a generic brown or green, pupils round out, and a flash reflection gets painted as a glowing disc. Name the color and the pupil shape, ask for one small catchlight, and forbid any change to eye size, spacing, or gaze.
Fur edges and whiskers are where swaps fringe. A highlight is hard to place precisely where it crosses long hair, and OpenAI notes that edits can extend past the selection, so describe background swaps instead of highlighting them, and ask for "clean fur edges, individual whiskers kept, no halo."
Costumes are drawn in, never put on. The character prompts paint a helmet, a cape, or an apron into the image as illustration around your pet's real pose. Nothing is fastened to the animal, nothing covers its face, and ears, mouth, and posture stay as photographed. If a result shows a pet that looks restrained or unhappy, discard it and reword.
Use the "do not" lines and set the output. "No new markings, no changed eye color, no added collar, no second animal" is negative prompting applied to pets, and it closes the gaps a keep list leaves. Ask for up to 2K, name the aspect ratio, and say "same framing" so the pet is not re-posed on the way out.
Save the pet as a reference image for sets. ChatGPT Images 2.6 can save a reference image of a pet under a name you choose, and you reuse it in a later chat by typing @ and that name in the prompt, so a four-image set or a card series keeps one animal across every frame. The Multi-Pet and Sets category uses that feature.
This post is a spoke of 40 ChatGPT photo editing prompts, which covers people, backgrounds, restoration, and restyles. If none of the 30 below fit your photo, the AI prompt generator writes a pet-specific prompt with the markings checklist built in.
30
Every prompt below assumes one workflow. How to edit a pet photo in ChatGPT, in six steps:
Pick the sharpest photo you have, eyes in focus and markings visible. A blurred coat gives the model room to invent a pattern.
Write the keep list before the change: coat pattern, every marking by position, eye color, ear shape, tail, and the collar and tag.
Say what changes and where: the region, the fill or new look, and the direction of the existing light.
Use the Select tool for clean-edged objects such as a leash or a toy. Describe anything that meets the fur, such as a new background.
Add the do-not lines and the output: no new markings, no changed eyes, no added collar, up to 2K, same framing.
Check against the original at 100%: eyes, ear set, every marking, tail, tag. If two items moved, start a new chat with the original photo and a tighter list.
Warning
Edit only pets you own or have permission to edit, and ask before you restyle a friend's dog or a neighbor's cat. A lost-pet flyer needs the real, unedited photo: generate the layout and the text around it, and never let ChatGPT sharpen, recolor, or restyle the animal people are being asked to recognize. Shelters and rescues often have rules about edited adoption photos, so check before you brighten or swap the background on a listing, and keep the animal's appearance as it is in person.
Clean-Ups and Fixes (1–6)
These are the ChatGPT pet photo prompts most people need first: the leash in the frame, the dark living room, the blur from a dog who would not sit still. Use the Select tool for the leash and clutter, describe the exposure and sharpening fixes since they touch the whole frame, and keep the eyes and markings on the list. For the sharpening and low-light techniques behind these, see ChatGPT photo enhance prompts.
1. Remove the Leash and Clutter
Remove the [leash from the collar to the left edge] and the [shoes
and toy basket] behind my dog. Fill each area with the same
[hardwood floor and white baseboard], matching perspective, grain,
and the soft window light from the [right]. Keep the collar and its
[round brass] tag. Keep my dog's coat pattern, [white chest patch],
eye color, ear shape, tail, pose, expression, and framing exactly
as they are. No blur patch, no repeated planks, no new objects.
What you'll get: The floor continued cleanly where the leash was.
Variation: Highlight the leash with the Select tool and run only the fill line.
2. Brighten a Dark Indoor Shot
This photo of my cat is underexposed. Brighten it by about [1.5]
stops and lift the shadows so the face and fur read clearly,
without clipping the [lamp] highlights. Reduce noise gently and
keep individual hairs and whiskers. Keep the warm room light from
the [left], the [tabby stripes and white bib], the [green] eyes
with vertical pupils, ear shape, tail, collar and tag, pose, and
framing exactly as they are. No waxy fur, no daylight look. Up to
2K.
What you'll get: A readable cat in a room that still looks like evening.
Variation: Add "keep the mood dim, just make the face and eyes readable."
3. Sharpen Motion Blur in the Fur
My dog moved and the fur on the [head and front legs] is smeared
[left to right]. Reduce the smear and bring the fur edges, eyes,
and nose back to sharp, recovering detail only where the original
shows it. Do not invent hairs or whiskers the photo does not hold.
Keep the coat pattern, [brown saddle and white paws], eye color,
ear shape, tail, the [blue] collar and tag, expression, pose, and
framing exactly as they are. No halos, no plastic fur.
What you'll get: A steadier frame with the coat you photographed, soft where the original is soft.
Variation: If the background is already sharp, add "the background is in focus; leave it alone."
4. Fix Eye Shine From Flash
The flash gave my [cat] a bright [green] reflection in both eyes.
Remove it and restore the natural [amber] eye color with a dark
[vertical / round] pupil and one small catchlight matching the
light from the [upper left]. Keep eye size, shape, spacing, and
gaze exactly as they are, and change nothing outside the eyes. Keep
the coat pattern, markings, ear shape, whiskers, tail, collar and
tag, pose, and framing unchanged. No glowing eyes, no redrawn face.
What you'll get: Your pet's real eyes back, without the glowing-disc look.
Variation: Highlight only the two eyes with the Select tool so the rest of the face is never regenerated.
5. Swap to a Park Background
Replace the background behind my dog with a park: soft green grass
and out-of-focus trees. Overcast daylight; keep the light on the
dog soft and add a soft contact shadow under the paws. Clean fur
edges and whiskers, no halo. Keep my dog's coat pattern, [black
mask and tan points], eye color, ear shape, tail, the [red] collar
and tag, pose, and framing exactly as they are. No sharp leaves, no
fake bokeh, no new objects or animals.
What you'll get: An outdoor portrait where the light on the dog agrees with the scene.
Variation: Swap the park for "a sandy beach at overcast midday."
6. Square Crop for a Profile Picture
Crop this photo to 1:1 with my [cat's] head centered, the ears in
frame, and the eyes on the upper third line. Do not stretch, warp,
or regenerate content; if a corner needs filling, continue the
existing [plain wall] only. Keep the coat pattern, markings, eye
color, ear shape, whiskers, tail, the collar and tag, expression,
and colors exactly as they are. Up to 2K. No sharpening, no filter
look, no border.
What you'll get: A profile-ready square where the face reads at thumbnail size.
Variation: Ask for "a soft radial vignette at 10% strength" if the background is busy.
Studio and Fine-Art Portraits (7–12)
A pet portrait prompt in ChatGPT takes the photo you already have and changes the setting or the medium while the animal stays itself. Describe the backdrop, the light, and the brushwork, and name the likeness cues that must survive, since a restyle redraws every pixel. Describe the look rather than naming an artist.
7. Seamless Studio Backdrop
Replace the background with a seamless studio backdrop in [warm
gray #d9d9d9]. Light my dog with a large soft key from the [upper
left] and a soft fill, matching the existing light direction, with
a soft contact shadow under the dog. Clean fur edges, every
whisker, no halo. Keep the coat pattern, [markings], eye color, ear
shape, tail, collar and tag, pose, and framing exactly as they are.
No props, no text. Aspect ratio 4:5, up to 2K.
What you'll get: A studio portrait that looks like a session, with the pet from your photo.
Variation: Use #2b2b2b for a dark backdrop or #f2f2f2 for a high-key look.
8. Classical Oil Portrait
Repaint this photo of my [cat] as a classical oil portrait: dark
umber background, a single warm light from the [upper left], thick
visible brushwork in the fur, glazed depth in the shadows, and fine
craquelure across the surface. Keep the likeness exact: same coat
pattern, [white locket on the chest], eye color, ear shape, whisker
set, tail, expression, head angle, and the collar and tag painted
as they are. No costume, no frame, no signature. Aspect ratio 4:5.
What you'll get: A gallery-style oil painting that is unmistakably your pet.
Variation: Swap "dark umber" for "a deep green drape with a gilt edge."
9. Watercolor
Turn this photo of my dog into a loose watercolor on cold-pressed
paper: visible paper texture, wet-on-wet edges in the fur, bare
white paper for the brightest highlights, and a few deliberate
drips at the bottom. Keep the likeness recognizable: same coat
pattern, [markings], eye color, ear shape, tail, collar color,
expression, and pose. Palette limited to [five colors] from the
coat. Background as a soft wash only. No outlines, no text, no
signature. Aspect ratio 4:5.
What you'll get: A loose painting that still reads as your dog at a glance.
Variation: Ask for "tight botanical-illustration precision with fine ink detail in the eyes."
10. Black-and-White Portrait
Convert this photo to black and white with a full tonal range: deep
blacks in the [dark fur], highlights that hold detail in the [white
fur], and smooth midtones. Add slight micro-contrast in the eyes
and whiskers. Keep the composition, pose, coat pattern, every
marking as a tonal shape, eye shape and gaze, ear shape, tail, and
the collar and tag exactly as they are. No sepia tint, no selective
color, no vignette, no added grain. Up to 2K.
What you'll get: Real tonal depth with every marking still readable in gray.
Variation: Add "fine film grain and slightly lifted blacks" for a darkroom print feel.
11. Dramatic Low-Key With Rim Light
Relight this photo of my [dog] as a low-key studio portrait: a
near-black background, one hard rim light from [behind right] that
traces the ears, head, and whiskers, and a soft, dim fill so the
eyes stay readable. Match the shadow direction to the new light.
Keep the coat pattern, [markings], eye color with one small
catchlight, ear shape, tail, collar and tag, expression, pose, and
framing exactly as they are. No fog, no color gels, no second
animal.
What you'll get: A moody portrait where the edge light draws the outline of your pet.
Variation: Move the rim to "both sides" for a symmetrical outline on a front-facing pose.
12. Painted Royal Portrait With a Drawn-In Costume
Repaint this photo of my [cat] as an 18th-century style court
portrait in oils: a [crimson] drape behind, warm candlelight from
the [left], and formal brushwork. Paint an [ermine-trimmed cloak
and a small jeweled crown] into the picture as illustration,
nothing fastened to the animal and nothing covering the face or
ears. Keep the coat pattern, [markings], eye color, ear shape,
whiskers, tail, collar and tag, and the relaxed pose exactly as
they are. No real costume, no leash, no text.
What you'll get: A regal painting where the finery is clearly painted on and the pet is clearly yours.
Variation: Swap the crown for "a painted lace ruff behind the head."
Fun Characters (13–18)
The character prompts turn your pet into an astronaut or a detective by drawing the gear into the picture as illustration, never by dressing the animal. Each keeps the real head, eyes, ears, and pose from the photo, with nothing enclosing the face or binding the body. Describe the character by its gear and setting rather than any named hero. For a full cartoon or anime treatment, ChatGPT anime prompts has a companion-character set.
13. Astronaut
Illustrate my dog as an astronaut in a clean painted style. Paint
a [white and orange] spacesuit around the body as illustration,
helmet beside the dog with the visor open, nothing covering the
head, ears, or neck, and the collar and tag visible. Setting: a
spacecraft cabin, soft blue light from the [right], Earth in a
round window. Keep the coat pattern, [markings], eye color, ear
shape, tail, and expression exactly as in the photo. No agency
logos, no text.
What you'll get: A space-dog illustration where the real face sits above a painted suit.
Variation: Place the dog "floating gently in a cabin with a few loose treats drifting by."
14. Tiny Chef
Illustrate my [cat] as a tiny chef in a storybook style: a painted
[white apron and chef's hat], the hat floating just above the head
and nothing tied around the neck or body, in a sunny kitchen with
a bowl of [fish-shaped biscuits] and soft window light from the
[left]. Keep the coat pattern, [white paws and chin], eye color,
ear shape, whiskers, tail, collar and tag, and the calm pose
exactly as in the photo. No knives, no flames, no brand labels.
What you'll get: A gentle kitchen scene with your cat clearly in charge.
Variation: Swap the kitchen for "a bakery counter with a tray of paw-shaped cookies."
15. Original Superhero
Illustrate my dog as an original superhero in a bold comic style
with thick ink lines. Paint a [deep blue cape and a bone-shaped
chest emblem] as illustration, nothing fastened to the dog, no mask
on the face, collar and tag visible. Setting: a rooftop at dusk,
warm city glow from below, soft rim light from the [left]. Keep the
coat pattern, [markings], eye color, ear shape, tail, and
expression exactly as in the photo. No existing hero's colors or
symbols, no text.
What you'll get: A comic cover that is your dog, with a costume nobody else owns.
Variation: Ask for "a halftone dot texture and a yellow burst shape behind the head."
16. Wizard
Illustrate my [cat] as a wizard in a painterly fantasy style: a
[midnight blue robe with silver stars] painted around the seated
pose as illustration, a wide-brimmed hat floating just above the
head, and a glowing orb on the table lighting the face from [below
left] in cool blue, in a candlelit library. Keep the coat pattern,
[markings], eye color, ear shape, whiskers, tail, collar and tag,
and the pose exactly as in the photo. No named characters, no text.
What you'll get: A fantasy portrait where the magic is painted around a cat who looks exactly like yours.
Variation: Replace the orb with "a spellbook open on the table, pages lit from within."
17. Detective
Illustrate my dog as a detective in a muted, grainy style: a [tan
trench coat] painted loosely around the shoulders as illustration,
front open, nothing buttoned or tied, a magnifying glass in front,
and a rain-streaked window behind with cool evening light from the
[right] and a warm desk lamp from the [left]. Keep the coat
pattern, [markings], eye color, ear shape, tail, collar and tag,
and expression exactly as in the photo. No pipe, no hat over the
ears, no text.
What you'll get: A noir desk scene where your dog is clearly on the case.
Variation: Add "a paw-print clue on a sheet of paper under the magnifying glass."
18. Racing Driver
Illustrate my [cat] as a racing driver in a crisp poster style: a
[red and white] racing suit painted around the pose as
illustration, helmet on the floor, visor up, nothing on the head
or neck beyond the real collar and tag, in a pit lane with warm
afternoon sun from the [left] and a blurred grandstand behind.
Keep the coat pattern, [markings], eye color, ear shape, tail, and
the pose exactly as in the photo. No sponsor logos, no text.
What you'll get: A podium-ready poster with a suit that is plainly painted on.
Variation: Add "a small toy-scale car at the edge of the frame" for a prop.
Keepsakes (19–22)
Keepsake prompts ask for restraint: a soft treatment, a readable line of text, and an animal who looks exactly as you remember. Keep the photo honest, since the point of a memorial or a photo-book page is recognition, and start with the best file you have.
19. Soft Memorial Portrait
Make a gentle memorial portrait from this photo of my [dog]. Soften
the background into a warm, pale [cream] gradient with soft natural
light from the [upper left], and add a light, even glow at the
edges of the frame. Keep the coat pattern, [markings], eye color,
ear shape, tail, collar and tag, expression, and pose exactly as
they are, with no sharpening, smoothing, or reinterpretation of the
face. Do not add wings, halos, clouds, or text. Aspect ratio 4:5.
What you'll get: A quiet, respectful portrait with the pet unchanged at its center.
Variation: Add "a small, plain caption at the bottom reading [PET NAME], spelled exactly."
20. Paw-Print Keepsake Card
Design a 5 x 7 inch keepsake card using this photo of my [cat].
Place the photo, unedited, in a soft-edged oval on the upper two
thirds of a [warm ivory] card, and below it the text "[PET NAME]"
in a clean serif and "[SHORT LINE]" in smaller italic, spelled
exactly as written, with a small paw-print motif between the lines.
Keep the coat pattern, markings, eye color, ear shape, whiskers,
tail, and collar exactly as photographed. No extra decoration, no
other text.
What you'll get: A printable card with the text spelled correctly and the photo untouched.
Variation: Ask for "a matching 7 x 5 landscape version with the photo on the left."
21. Photo-Book Page
Lay out a photo-book page from this photo of my dog. Place the
photo at full size on the [left] two thirds of a white page with a
thin [gray] keyline, and on the right a caption in a clean sans
serif reading "[CAPTION]" with "[PLACE OR OCCASION]" beneath it,
spelled exactly as written. Keep the photo unchanged: same crop,
colors, coat pattern, markings, eye color, ear shape, tail, collar,
and expression. No filters, no overlays on the photo, no other
text. Aspect ratio 3:2.
What you'll get: A clean album page where the words are right and the photo is yours.
Variation: Ask for "two photos side by side with one shared caption" and upload both.
22. 8x10 Framed Print
Prepare this photo of my [cat] for an 8 x 10 inch print. Output at
up to 2K in a 4:5 ratio with the full head and ears in frame,
shadows lifted slightly so the dark fur holds on paper, and clean
edges on the fur and whiskers. Keep the coat pattern, [markings],
eye color, ear shape, tail, collar and tag, expression, pose, and
colors exactly as they are, with real fur texture. Do not
oversharpen, add contrast, or invent detail. No vignette, no text.
What you'll get: A print-ready file whose shadows will not block up on paper.
Variation: For a larger print, take the 2K result to a dedicated upscaler for the final size.
Posters and Cards (23–27)
Posters are where the ChatGPT pet photo prompts get to be funny, and where in-image text has to be right. Put every string in quotes, say "spelled exactly as written," and forbid extra words, because a typo in the name is a reprint. Describe the format by its layout rather than any real film or franchise.
23. Wanted Poster With Readable Text
Design a playful wanted poster using this photo of my [dog] in an
old-west style: aged parchment, torn edges, a thick woodcut-style
border, and the headline "WANTED" in bold slab serif. Below the
photo, the lines "[PET NAME]", "FOR [STEALING SOCKS]", and
"REWARD: [BELLY RUBS]", each spelled exactly as written. Keep the
photo unedited and in color: same coat pattern, markings, eye
color, ear shape, tail, expression, and collar. No weapons, no
cages, no extra words. Aspect ratio 2:3.
What you'll get: A joke poster with the lines spelled right and your dog's real face in the middle.
Variation: Swap the parchment for "a clean modern flyer with a yellow background and black type."
24. Movie Poster
Design a dramatic action-film style poster from this photo of my
[cat]: strong backlight with a warm rim from the [right], a large
title "[TITLE]" in condensed bold caps on the lower third,
"[TAGLINE]" above it in small spaced caps, and a fine-text billing
block reading "[CREDITS LINE]", all spelled exactly as written.
Keep the coat pattern, [markings], eye color, ear shape, tail, and
expression exactly as they are. No studio logos, no rating marks,
no existing film's layout. Aspect ratio 2:3.
What you'll get: A cinematic one-sheet where the title is readable at phone size.
Variation: Ask for "a romantic-comedy layout: white background, pastel type, two pets back to back."
25. Birthday Card
Design a birthday card from this photo of my dog. Place the photo,
unedited, on the front with a painted party hat floating just above
the head, ears visible and nothing tied under the chin, soft
[pastel] confetti, and the text "HAPPY BIRTHDAY [PET NAME]" across
the top in a rounded sans serif, spelled exactly as written. Keep
the coat pattern, markings, eye color, ear shape, tail, collar, and
expression exactly as photographed. No cake near the dog, no other
text.
What you'll get: A card where the hat is plainly drawn on and the name is right.
Variation: Add "[AGE] in a small circle in one corner, spelled exactly."
26. Calendar Page
Lay out a single calendar page using this photo of my [cat]: the
photo unedited across the top 60% of a portrait page, and below it
a clean month grid for "[MONTH]" with weekday letters and day
numbers in a plain sans serif, every label spelled exactly, in
[charcoal] on white. Keep the coat pattern, markings, eye color,
ear shape, tail, and collar exactly as photographed. No holidays
marked, no extra text, no decoration over the photo. Aspect ratio
3:4.
What you'll get: A printable page where the grid is legible and the photo is untouched.
Variation: Ask for "twelve pages in the same layout" and upload one photo per page.
27. Adoption Flyer With Placeholder Contact Details
Design an adoption flyer using this photo of the dog. Place the
photo unedited on the upper half of a portrait page, and do not
change the dog's coat pattern, markings, eye color, ear shape,
tail, collar, background, or expression. Below it, the headline
"ADOPT [PET NAME]" in bold sans serif, the lines "[AGE AND SIZE]",
"[TEMPERAMENT]", and "[GOOD WITH]", and at the bottom "CONTACT:
[SHELTER NAME] [PHONE] [EMAIL]", all spelled exactly as written.
No other animals, no extra words. Aspect ratio 3:4.
What you'll get: A flyer where the animal looks exactly as it does in person and the contact line reads clearly.
Variation: For a lost-pet flyer, use the same layout with "LOST" as the headline, the real photo unedited, and "[LAST SEEN LOCATION]" as the first line.
Multi-Pet and Sets (28–30)
Two pets, or one pet across several frames, is where consistency breaks. A composite must say "match scale, eye line, light direction, and shadow softness," and a set must come from one saved reference image, which ChatGPT Images 2.6 can keep and reuse in later chats. Every animal gets its own keep list by name, and so does the owner.
28. Two Pets in One Frame From Two Photos
Combine these two photos into one. Place [DOG NAME] from the first
photo on the [left] and [CAT NAME] from the second on the [right],
both on the same [gray sofa], sitting as photographed. Match scale,
eye line, light direction from the [window on the left], and shadow
softness. Keep each animal's coat pattern, markings, eye color, ear
shape, tail, collar and tag, expression, and pose exactly as
photographed. No third animal, no invented contact between them.
What you'll get: One believable photo of two pets who were never in the room together.
Variation: Add "leave a hand's width of cushion between them" to prevent an overlap.
29. The Same Pet Across a Four-Image Set
Save [PET NAME] from this photo as a reference image. Then generate
four images of the same dog in the same soft natural light: sitting
on a [porch step], lying on a [rug], standing in [grass], and a
close head portrait. In every frame keep the identical coat
pattern, [markings], eye color, ear shape, tail length and
carriage, the [green] collar and tag, and the same build. No new
markings, no second dog, no text. 1:1, up to 2K.
What you'll get: Four frames of one recognizable dog instead of four near-misses.
Variation: In a later chat, type @[PET NAME] in the prompt to reuse the saved reference for a card or a calendar with the same keep list.
30. Pet and Owner Together
Combine these two photos into one. Place me from the first photo
seated on the [park bench] and my [cat] from the second on my lap.
Match scale, eye line, the soft overcast light direction, and
shadow softness. Keep my face shape, features, skin tone, hair,
expression, and clothing exactly as they are, and the cat's coat
pattern, [markings], eye color, ear shape, tail, and collar exactly
as photographed. Hands resting naturally, nothing gripping the
animal. No other people or animals.
What you'll get: A relaxed portrait of the two of you with both likenesses held.
Variation: Swap the bench for "my own sofa from a third uploaded photo".
Tips for Better ChatGPT Pet Photo Prompt Results
Name the markings by position. "A brown dog with white bits" leaves the model to decide where the white goes. "White blaze from forehead to nose, white chest, white on the right front paw only" leaves nothing to decide.
Lock the ears and the tail. Ear set is the most common silent change in a pet edit: a half-folded ear returns upright, a curled tail straightens. Say "ears [folded / upright / one up, one down] exactly as in the photo" and the same for the tail.
Keep the collar and tag on the record. Collars get recolored and tags disappear because they are small and the prompt never mentioned them. Name the color, the material, and the tag shape. If you want the collar gone, say so.
Check at 100% in a fixed order. Eyes, then ear set, then each marking, then the tail, then the tag. If two items drifted, start a new chat with the original photo and a tighter keep list, because every later edit builds on the drift. ChatGPT Images 2.6 is about 50% faster than the previous version, so a restart costs little time, though each attempt still counts against the free plan's small daily allowance.
Pick the right tool for the edit. For a hard local edit where nothing else may move, such as removing one toy without touching the dog, Gemini's Nano Banana is stronger, and the 50 best Nano Banana prompts collection covers that side. ChatGPT is the right choice for relighting, a painted restyle, and any poster or card with text on it.
Tip
For a pet you will edit more than once, ask ChatGPT Images 2.6 to save it as a named reference image the first time, then type @ and that name in every later prompt and paste the same keep list. One saved reference plus one fixed list is what keeps a birthday card, a calendar page, and a four-image set looking like the same animal.
Generate Custom ChatGPT Pet Photo Prompts
Your pet has its own coat, its own crooked ear, and its own collar. Describe the edit in plain English to the image prompt generator and it writes the full instruction with the markings checklist built in; the Template Builder saves that checklist as a block you can paste into every prompt for the same animal.
For edits beyond pets, the hub post 40 ChatGPT photo editing prompts covers backgrounds, restoration, restyles, and text. ChatGPT profile picture prompts picks up where the square crop leaves off.
Name the markings, lock the eyes and ears, draw the costume in, and check the tag at 100%.
