35 copy-paste ChatGPT Christmas photo prompts for family portraits, photo cards with readable text, festive edits, kids and pets, winter scenes, and prints.

TL;DR

Thirty-five copy-paste ChatGPT Christmas photo prompts that edit your own family photos in ChatGPT Images 2.6 while keeping every face, skin tone, and expression as shot. Six categories: family portraits with the tree, fireplace, and porch lights; photo cards with readable text and name and year placeholders; festive edits such as a knitted hat and a string-light relight; kids and pets with illustrated antlers and a storybook page; generated winter scenes and wallpapers; and print layouts sized in inches with their aspect ratios. Every prompt carries a keep list, the light to match, and negatives for the quiet edits.

ChatGPT Christmas photo prompts are edit instructions you attach to your own family photo: the festive change, the exact card text, and the faces that must not change. ChatGPT Images 2.6 handles the tree, the string lights, the snow, and readable card text; your job is the keep list and the print size. Here are 35 prompts for portraits, cards, festive edits, kids and pets, winter scenes, and prints.

What Makes ChatGPT Christmas Photo Prompts Work

A holiday photo is the hardest kind of edit: several faces, warm tree light mixed with cool window light, and often text on top. Without the Select tool, ChatGPT Images 2.6 regenerates the whole frame from your photo plus your instruction, so every face you do not name is free to drift.

Put every face on the keep list, by position. "Keep the face, skin tone, and expression of the adult on the left, the child in front, and the baby on the right exactly as they are" tells the model what to notice; "keep our faces" does not. Name the hands too; they are where edits improvise.

Warm light is not warm skin. Tree lights, candles, and fire glow are all amber, and the easiest failure is a family of orange faces. Say "skin tones stay their natural color; the warmth shows on clothing and the room" in every relight.

Write the card text in quotes, with the placeholders filled. In-image text is readable and reliable in ChatGPT Images 2.6. Quote the exact string, replace [FAMILY NAME] and [YEAR] with your own words, and add "spell it exactly as written, no extra words."

Set the print size in inches and its aspect ratio. A 4 x 6 inch print is 3:2, a 5 x 7 is 7:5, an 8 x 10 is 4:5, and a letter page is 17:22. Output runs up to 2K at ratios from 3:1 to 1:3, so ask for the size once and skip the re-crop.

Forbid the quiet edits. "No skin smoothing, no face reshaping, no age changes, no snow on faces, no one added or removed." A festive edit invites the model to tidy the people along with the room; negatives block the edits you never asked for.

Every prompt here follows the shape in the hub, 40 ChatGPT photo editing prompts: the change, the region, the keep list, and the light. For a card or scene not covered below, describe it to the image prompt generator.

ChatGPT Christmas photo prompts across 6 categories: family portraits, cards, festive edits, kids and pets, winter scenes, and print and share

How to edit a Christmas photo in ChatGPT:

1

Pick the photo. One sharp group photo in even light, every face uncovered.

2

Upload in a new chat and lock the faces. Every face, skin tone, expression, pose, and hands, named by position.

3

Describe the festive change as light and objects. The tree behind, string lights from a named side, snow outside the window.

4

Add the text and the size. Exact wording in quotes, placeholders filled, then the print size in inches and its aspect ratio.

5

Check at 100%. Faces, hands, hair edges against the lights, and every letter of the text.

6

Print a test and clean up. One copy on plain paper, then card stock; delete the chat if children appear.

Warning

Edit your own family's photos, and ask the relatives in the frame first. Children's photos stay private: send cards with kids on them directly to family rather than posting them, and delete the chat when the card is done. If you combine two photos into one portrait, say so when you send it; do not pass off a composite as everyone in the same room.

Family Portraits (1–7)

A family portrait has the longest keep list in this post: every face, every pair of hands, every child's expression, named by position. These ChatGPT Christmas photo prompts add the tree, the fireplace, and the snow around people who stay exactly as shot; describe rather than brush, since the light changes across the frame. For two people and the full composite rules, see ChatGPT couple photo prompts.

1. Living Room With the Tree

code
Replace the cluttered background of my uploaded family photo with a
warm living room and a decorated Christmas tree behind us, out of
focus, warm white string lights, wrapped gifts at its base. Soft
lamp light from [camera left] matching the light on our faces. Keep
every face, skin tone, expression, pose, hands, clothing, and
proportions exactly as they are, no one added. Aspect ratio 3:2.

What you'll get: The same family in front of a tree lit like their room.

Variation: Add "the tree on the [right] third, the [left] plain for text."

2. Matching Pajamas

code
Change everyone's clothing in my uploaded photo to matching [RED
AND GREEN PLAID] flannel pajamas: long sleeves, button front, folds
lit by the existing light from [camera right]. Keep every face,
skin tone, hair, expression, pose, hands, and proportions exactly
as they are, and the sofa and room unchanged. Sleeves end at the
wrists, collars sit flat. No logos, no props. Same aspect ratio.

What you'll get: One matched set of pajamas, every face and hand untouched.

Variation: Give the kids "the same plaid in a smaller check."

3. In Front of the Fireplace

code
Move my family from this photo to a living room fireplace: stone
surround, a low fire, a garland and [NUMBER] plain stockings on the
mantel, wooden floor. The fire is a warm fill from below; the main
light stays soft and neutral so skin tones read true. Keep every
face, skin tone, expression, pose, hands, clothing, and proportions
exactly as they are. Contact shadows on the floor. Aspect ratio 3:2.

What you'll get: A fireplace that warms the room and leaves the faces alone.

Variation: Then ask for "initials [A, B, C] stitched on the stockings."

4. Snow Outside the Window

code
Replace the view through the window behind us in my uploaded photo
with a snowy garden at dusk and soft falling snow outside the glass.
The window light turns cool blue, the indoor light stays warm, and
neither changes our skin tone. Keep every face, skin tone,
expression, pose, hands, clothing, and framing exactly as they are.
No snow inside the room, no frost on the glass. Same aspect ratio.

What you'll get: A two-tone winter frame with the same people, lit as they were.

Variation: Add "light frost in the lower corners of each pane."

5. Porch With String Lights

code
Place my family on a wooden front porch at dusk: warm string lights
along the roofline and railing, a wreath on the door behind us, snow
on the steps. The lights give a warm rim on our hair and shoulders;
a soft neutral key from the front keeps every face evenly exposed.
Keep every face, skin tone, expression, pose, hands, and clothing
exactly as they are. No lights over any face. Aspect ratio 4:5.

What you'll get: An evening porch portrait with faces that still read clearly.

Variation: Swap dusk for "late afternoon, low winter sun from [camera left]."

6. Two Households in One Portrait

code
Two photos uploaded, each of one family that has agreed to this.
Combine them into one portrait on a single sofa in front of a tree.
Match scale, eye line, light direction, and shadow softness so the
groups look photographed together, soft warm light from [camera
left]. Keep every face, skin tone, expression, hair, and clothing
exactly as in its source photo, no one resized, blended, or
redrawn. No gaps, no floating feet. Aspect ratio 3:2.

What you'll get: One frame from two photos, with light and scale that agree.

Variation: Say "stand the second group behind the sofa" when the seat is full.

7. Grandparents and Grandchildren on the Sofa

code
Edit my uploaded photo of the grandparents and grandchildren on the
sofa: even the exposure so every face reads clearly, remove the
[remote and cables] from the cushions, and add a knitted throw over
the sofa back. Keep every face, skin tone, wrinkles, gray hair,
glasses, expression, pose, hands, and clothing exactly as they are.
Do not smooth skin or change anyone's apparent age. No text.

What you'll get: A tidy, evenly lit sofa portrait, every generation as they are.

Variation: Add "a wrapped gift in the youngest child's lap."

Cards With Readable Text (8–14)

In-image text is readable and reliable in ChatGPT Images 2.6, so a card is one prompt: the photo, the layout, the exact wording in quotes, and the print size in inches with its aspect ratio. Fill the [FAMILY NAME] and [YEAR] placeholders before you send, since brackets left in the prompt print as brackets. For a layout you can picture, draw it with the Sketch option, or start from a Template and paste your text in.

8. Classic Photo Card

code
Design a 5 x 7 inch landscape photo card (aspect ratio 7:5) from my
uploaded family photo: the photo fills the top 75% with a clean
white band below. In the band, "Merry Christmas from the [FAMILY
NAME] Family" in a classic dark green serif, with "[YEAR]" smaller
beneath it, centered, spelled exactly as written, no extra words.
Keep every face, skin tone, expression, and the photo's colors
exactly as they are. Text 0.25 inch from every edge. 2K.

What you'll get: A print-ready card with correct text and your photo untouched.

Variation: Use "Season's Greetings" for a card going to colleagues.

9. Minimal Modern Card

code
Make a 5 x 7 inch portrait card (aspect ratio 5:7) from my uploaded
photo: the photo inside a wide off-white border with more space at
the bottom. Below it, small dark gray text in a light sans-serif:
"merry christmas" on one line and "the [FAMILY NAME]s, [YEAR]"
beneath, left-aligned to the photo edge, spelled exactly as written
in lowercase. Keep every face, skin tone, and expression exactly as
they are. No ornaments, no foil effect. 2K.

What you'll get: A quiet gallery-style card that lets the photo carry it.

Variation: Ask for "a single thin gold rule between the photo and the text."

10. Three-Photo Strip Card

code
Lay out my three uploaded photos as a 4 x 8 inch vertical strip
card (aspect ratio 1:2): three equal frames stacked with thin white
gutters, cropped to fill without stretching or regenerating anyone.
At the bottom, a short white band with "Merry Christmas" and "The
[FAMILY NAME] Family, [YEAR]" in a clean serif, centered, spelled
exactly as written. Keep every face, skin tone, and expression
exactly as they are. No filters, no extra text. 2K.

What you'll get: A photo-booth-style card with three real moments.

Variation: Run it horizontally at 8 x 4 inches (2:1) for a mantel card.

11. Year-in-Review Card

code
Design a 5 x 7 inch landscape card (aspect ratio 7:5) titled "The
[FAMILY NAME] Family: [YEAR] in Review" across the top in a bold
dark green serif. Below it, my four uploaded photos in a 2 x 2 grid
with thin white gutters, each with a one-line caption in small gray
text: "[CAPTION 1]", "[CAPTION 2]", "[CAPTION 3]", "[CAPTION 4]",
spelled exactly as written. Crop to fill, never stretch. Keep every
face, skin tone, and expression exactly as they are. 2K.

What you'll get: Four moments, four captions, one title, spelled as you wrote them.

Variation: Swap the grid for "one large photo left, three small right."

12. Holiday Newsletter Header

code
Create a 3:1 banner for the top of a letter-size holiday newsletter
from my uploaded family photo: the photo on the left third, cropped
to fit without regenerating anyone; on the right, "The [FAMILY NAME]
Family Newsletter" with "[YEAR]" beneath it in a warm serif on
cream, a thin line of pine sprigs under the text, spelled exactly as
written. Keep every face, skin tone, and expression exactly as they
are. No other text. 2K.

What you'll get: A header band that prints at 8 inches wide above the letter.

Variation: Ask for "a plain red band with white text."

13. Gift-Tag Sheet

code
Design an 8 x 10 inch sheet (aspect ratio 4:5) of eight gift tags,
each 3 x 2 inches, in two columns of four with thin gray cut lines.
Each tag: a small circle crop of the face from my uploaded photo on
the left, and on the right "To:" above a blank line and "From: The
[FAMILY NAME]s" in a clean dark green serif on cream, spelled
exactly as written on every tag. Keep the face exactly as in the
photo. No other text. 2K.

What you'll get: Eight identical tags, face and spelling intact, ready to cut.

Variation: Use "a different family member's face on each pair of tags."

14. Happy Holidays Card for Mixed Audiences

code
Design a 5 x 7 inch landscape card (aspect ratio 7:5) from my
uploaded photo for friends and colleagues: the photo fills the top
75%; a white band below carries "Happy Holidays from the [FAMILY
NAME] Family" and "Warm wishes for [YEAR]" in a neutral charcoal
serif, centered, spelled exactly as written. White, silver, and
pine green, no religious symbols, no Santa figures. Keep every
face, skin tone, and expression exactly as they are. 2K.

What you'll get: The same card, worded for everyone on the list.

Variation: Ask for "a small line of snowflakes above the text."

Festive Edits of Your Photo (15–21)

These ChatGPT Christmas photo prompts work on a photo you already have: a hat, snow, a relight, a sweater, a new background. Brush the local ones with the Select tool and describe the global ones. OpenAI's help page says highlights are not always precise and edits can extend past the selection, so the keep list stays even when you brush.

15. Add a Knitted Hat Without Touching the Face

code
Add a knitted [RED] beanie with a cream pompom to my head in my
uploaded photo, fitted at the right size and angle, brim just above
my eyebrows, with a contact shadow and yarn texture lit by the
existing light from [camera left]. Keep my face shape, features,
skin tone, eyebrows, ears, expression, pose, clothing, and
background exactly as they are; the hair below the brim stays mine.

What you'll get: A hat that sits on your head, with your face left alone.

Variation: Select the top of your head first so the fill stays off your face.

16. Falling Snow

code
Add soft falling snow to my uploaded outdoor photo: flakes of mixed
sizes, the nearest slightly out of focus, drifting at a slight
angle, lit by the existing overcast daylight. A light dusting on
[my shoulders and the fence], none on my face, lashes, or hair.
Keep my face shape, features, skin tone, hair, expression, pose,
clothing, and framing exactly as they are. Do not cool my skin.

What you'll get: Snow in the air that leaves your face as it was.

Variation: Ask for "a few large flakes close to the lens, very soft."

17. Warm String-Light Relight

code
Relight my uploaded photo as if lit by warm string lights from the
[upper right]: a soft amber key on that side of my face, gentle
fill on the other, small warm catchlights, the room behind me in
warm shadow. My skin tone stays its natural color; the warmth shows
on my clothing and the room. Keep my face shape, features, hair,
expression, pose, and framing exactly as they are. No orange skin.

What you'll get: A string-light glow with skin that still reads as yours.

Variation: Add "a string of lights blurred behind me" on the next round.

18. Cozy Sweater Swap

code
Change only my top in my uploaded photo to a [CREAM] chunky
cable-knit sweater with a folded crew neck, sleeves to my wrists.
Match the knit's folds, shadows, and highlights to the existing
light from [camera left]. Keep my face shape, features, skin tone,
hair, neck, hands, expression, pose, background, and proportions
exactly as they are. No logos, no scarf, no change to my shoulders.

What you'll get: A sweater that hangs like it was there, hands and neck as shot.

Variation: Swap for "a dark green knit with a band of small white snowflakes."

19. Snowy Background Swap

code
Replace the background of my uploaded photo with a snowy pine
forest in soft overcast light, trees out of focus as if shot at
f/2, snow on the branches and ground. The light on me stays soft
and neutral, shadows matching the existing light from the [left].
Keep my face shape, features, skin tone, hair edges, glasses,
expression, pose, and clothing exactly as they are. No halo, no
snow on me. Aspect ratio 4:5.

What you'll get: A winter forest behind the same you, edges intact.

Variation: Try "a snowy city street at dusk with warm shop windows blurred."

20. Bokeh Lights

code
Add warm string-light bokeh behind me in my uploaded photo: large
soft circles of amber and gold, out of focus, denser toward the
[upper right], none crossing my face or hair edges. A faint warm
rim on my shoulders from the same side; my face stays evenly
exposed. Keep my face shape, features, skin tone, hair, expression,
pose, and clothing exactly as they are. No sharp bulbs, no lens
flare. Aspect ratio 4:5.

What you'll get: The festive bokeh portrait with your face unchanged.

Variation: Ask for "a mix of warm white and a few red and green circles."

21. Frosted Window

code
Place me beside a frosted window in my uploaded photo: cool soft
daylight from the window side, frost in the corners of the glass,
a blurred snowy yard beyond, warm indoor light from the other side.
The window light falls on the same side of my face as the existing
light. Keep my face shape, features, skin tone, hair, expression,
pose, and clothing exactly as they are. No frost over my face.
Aspect ratio 4:5.

What you'll get: A cool-and-warm window portrait whose light agrees with your face.

Variation: Add "a mug held in both hands" if your hands are visible.

Kids and Pets (22–26)

Children's photos stay in the family: edit them in a fresh chat, share the result directly with relatives, and delete the chat afterward. A child's keep list is the same as an adult's, with no age change in either direction; a pet's is coat pattern, markings, eye color, ear shape, and collar, with antlers and costumes drawn in as illustration, never worn. For more pet edits, see ChatGPT pet photo prompts.

22. Child Opening a Gift From Your Own Photo

code
Edit my uploaded photo of my child opening a gift: tidy the torn
wrapping paper into a few neat pieces, replace the [TV and cables]
behind them with a decorated tree out of focus, and warm the room
light slightly from [camera left] without changing their skin tone.
Keep my child's face, skin tone, hair, expression, pose, hands, the
gift, and clothing exactly as they are. No age change, no one added.

What you'll get: The real moment with a tidier room and the same face.

Variation: Select the background first so the child is never inside the edit.

23. Pet With Illustrated Antlers

code
Add hand-drawn reindeer antlers above my dog's head in my uploaded
photo, as a clear illustration: brown ink lines and flat color,
slightly cartoonish, no headband, strap, or contact with the ears,
placed at the right size and angle. Keep my dog's coat pattern,
markings, eye color, ear shape, expression, pose, collar, and the
background exactly as they are. No change to the dog, no text.

What you'll get: Your dog as photographed, with antlers that read as a drawing.

Variation: Swap the antlers for "a small illustrated red nose" or "a drawn Santa hat."

24. Letter-to-Santa Storybook Page

code
Illustrate a children's storybook page, no photo needed: a child
seen from behind at a wooden desk by a frosted window, writing a
letter by lamplight, a friendly illustrated Santa figure in a red
coat and white beard shown small inside a snow globe on the desk.
Soft watercolor in red, cream, and pine green. Across the bottom:
"Dear Santa, my name is [CHILD'S NAME] and I would like..." in
rounded hand lettering, spelled exactly as written. No real faces,
no named characters. Aspect ratio 4:5.

What you'll get: A keepsake page with your child's name and no photo of them.

Variation: Draw the layout with the Sketch option and ask ChatGPT to paint over it.

25. Baby's First Holiday Card

code
Design a 5 x 7 inch portrait card (aspect ratio 5:7) from my
uploaded photo of my baby: the photo fills the top two thirds,
cropped to fit without regenerating anything, over a soft cream
band with "[BABY'S NAME]'s First Christmas" and "[YEAR]" in a
gentle sage green serif, centered, spelled exactly as written. Keep
the baby's face, skin tone, expression, and hands exactly as they
are; no smoothing, no props on the baby. 2K.

What you'll get: A first-holiday card for close family, with the baby as photographed.

Variation: Add "a thin pine sprig under the text."

26. Kids and Dog on the Stairs

code
Edit my uploaded photo of my kids and our dog on the stairs: wrap
the banister in a pine garland with warm white string lights, hang
[NUMBER] plain stockings from the rail, and warm the light slightly
from above to match. Keep each child's face, skin tone, hair,
expression, pose, and hands, and the dog's coat pattern, markings,
eye color, ear shape, and collar, exactly as they are. No one moves
seats, no age changes, no lights on faces.

What you'll get: The same kids and dog on a staircase dressed for the holiday.

Variation: Select the banister only, so the kids and dog stay outside the edit.

Winter Scenes and Wallpapers (27–31)

These five are generated from a description, no photo uploaded, so there is no face to protect and the prompt is all scene, light, and format. ChatGPT Images 2.6 outputs up to 2K at ratios from 3:1 to 1:3, enough for a lock screen or an ultrawide desktop. For generated scenes beyond winter, see 50 ChatGPT image prompts.

27. Snowy Village at Dusk

code
Generate a photograph of a small snowy village at dusk: a dozen
timber houses with warm yellow windows along one curving lane,
fresh snow on every roof, string lights between the houses, chimney
smoke rising straight up, a deep blue sky with the last orange on
the horizon. Shot from slightly above at 35mm, sharp across the
frame. No people, no readable signs. Aspect ratio 3:2, 2K.

What you'll get: A blue-hour village with warm windows, clean enough to print.

Variation: Ask for "light falling snow and a lit spire at the end of the lane."

28. Cabin With Smoke

code
Generate a photograph of a log cabin at the edge of a snowy pine
forest in late afternoon: deep snow on the roof, a shoveled path to
the door, warm light in two windows, a thin line of gray smoke from
the stone chimney, low winter sun from the left raking across the
snow. Shot at 50mm from across a clearing, sharp throughout. No
people, no text. Aspect ratio 16:9, 2K.

What you'll get: A quiet cabin scene with one light source and clean shadows.

Variation: Swap "late afternoon" for "night under a clear starry sky."

29. Night Market

code
Generate a photograph of a winter night market in an old town
square: wooden stalls with striped awnings, strings of warm bulbs
overhead, steam rising from food stands, a tall decorated tree in
the center, light snow on the cobbles reflecting the lights. People
only as blurred figures with no visible faces. Shot at 35mm, f/2.
No readable signs, no logos. Aspect ratio 3:2, 2K.

What you'll get: A busy festive market where no one is identifiable.

Variation: Ask for "a close view of one stall with glowing lanterns."

30. Phone Wallpaper (9:16)

code
Generate a 9:16 phone wallpaper: a snowy pine forest at night with
light falling snow, a narrow path leading into the trees, and a
soft warm glow from a lantern on a post halfway down the path. Keep
the top third dark and simple so a lock-screen clock stays
readable, with the detail in the lower half. Cool blue palette with
one warm accent. No people, no text, no moon in frame. 2K.

What you'll get: A lock screen with room for the clock and one point of warmth.

Variation: Swap the forest for "a snowy rooftop view with string lights below."

31. Desktop Panorama (3:1)

code
Generate a 3:1 desktop panorama: a long snow-covered mountain ridge
at sunrise, pink light on the peaks, blue shadow in the valleys, a
thin band of pine forest across the bottom, and a line of fresh
animal tracks across the foreground snow. Wide 24mm look, sharp
across the frame, with most detail in the center so desktop icons
at the edges stay readable. No people, no text. 2K.

What you'll get: An ultrawide winter panorama with calm edges for your icons.

Variation: Ask for "the same ridge at blue hour with one lit cabin."

A card that looks right in the chat can print wrong: text at the trim, a face in the fold, a crop that fights the feed. These four set the output for its destination: inches and aspect ratio for print, 1:1 or 4:5 for social. Images 2.6 can also turn a scene into a short animated GIF for a message thread; cards and prints are stills.

32. 4x6 and 5x7 Print Layouts

code
From my finished card image, produce two print-ready versions: one
at 4 x 6 inches (aspect ratio 3:2) and one at 5 x 7 inches (aspect
ratio 7:5). Recompose each by extending or trimming the plain
border, never by stretching the photo or moving the text closer
than 0.25 inch to any edge. Keep every face, skin tone, expression,
the photo colors, and the exact text and spelling as they are. 2K.

What you'll get: Two sizes of the same card that print without trimmed text.

Variation: Add "an 8 x 10 inch version (aspect ratio 4:5) for a frame."

33. 1:1 Crop for Social

code
Crop my uploaded family photo to a 1:1 square for social: center
the group with all heads fully in frame and even margins, eyes in
the upper third. Do not stretch, warp, or regenerate anyone; if the
square needs more room, extend the background to match. Keep every
face, skin tone, expression, pose, hands, clothing, colors, and
proportions exactly as they are. No text, no border, no filter. 2K.

What you'll get: A square crop that holds the whole group and nothing new.

Variation: Ask for 4:5 when the group is tall and the square cuts someone off.

34. Christmas Morning Post

code
Edit my uploaded Christmas morning photo for a 4:5 post: balance
the warm tree lights and the cool window light so skin reads its
natural color on every face, lift the shadows one stop, tidy the
wrapping paper, and remove the [phone and mugs] from the coffee
table. Keep every face, skin tone, expression, pose, hands,
pajamas, the gifts being held, and the room layout exactly as they
are. No smoothing, no new objects. 2K.

What you'll get: The real morning, correctly exposed, with the clutter gone.

Variation: Add "keep the mood dim, just make faces readable" for tree-lit photos.

35. Printable Gift-Tag Sheet at Actual Size

code
Lay out the gift-tag design from my previous image on an 8.5 x 11
inch letter page (aspect ratio 17:22) at actual size: ten tags,
each 3 x 2 inches, in two columns of five with 0.5 inch outer
margins and thin gray cut lines between tags. Every tag carries the
same photo crop and the text "To:" with a blank line and "From: The
[FAMILY NAME]s", spelled exactly as written. Keep the face exactly
as before. No other text. 2K.

What you'll get: A letter-size sheet that prints at 100% and cuts into ten tags.

Variation: Print one sheet on plain paper and measure a tag first.

Tips for Better Results With ChatGPT Christmas Photo Prompts

Name every person by position. With several faces in frame, the one you do not name is the one that drifts, so list each person: the adult on the left, the child in front, the baby on the right.

Fill the placeholders before you send. [FAMILY NAME] and [YEAR] show where the text goes. Replace them, then read the result letter by letter; a bracket or a spare word is the most common card error.

Do the print math. 2K across a 5 x 7 inch card is about 293 pixels per inch, which prints cleanly. Across an 11 inch page it is about 186, so keep letter-size tag sheets simple and print one test copy on plain paper.

Use a saved reference for the set. ChatGPT Images 2.6 can save a reference image of a person or a pet under a name you choose, and you call it back in a later chat by typing @ and that name in the prompt, so the dog's markings match across the card, the tags, and the wallpaper. Use it for adults and pets; keep children's photos inside one chat and delete it when the set is done. When a result is close, comment on the image to guide the next edit instead of rewriting.

Tip

Nano Banana is stronger at strict local edits where nothing else may move, such as the hat or the antlers. ChatGPT is stronger at relighting, scene changes, and anything with text, which is most of a card. Hat only: try Nano Banana first. Card, relight, or composite: start in ChatGPT.
